What you get
Everything in the report, and what is not in it
There is one report and one price, so it is worth knowing exactly what your PPSR check price includes before you order.
Included for $9.95
- Written-off check — whether the vehicle has been recorded as a repairable or statutory write-off, including available dates and states
- Stolen check — whether the vehicle or its plates are recorded as stolen with an Australian police jurisdiction
- Money owing — registered security interests that may show finance is still owing on the vehicle
- Vehicle details — make, model, year, engine and compliance information from NEVDIS, so you can compare the records with the advertisement
- Official PPSR certificate — the genuine PDF issued under the PPS Act 2009 and included with the report
- A link that stays open for 30 days — reopen the report later or share it with a mechanic
Not included
- Odometer history — Not in the report today. It needs a third-party data agreement and is being worked on.
- Search by rego — The PPSR currently requires a VIN, so you need the vehicle’s VIN to run the check.
- A physical inspection — The report covers recorded vehicle information and does not assess the physical condition of the car.
- A market valuation — We do not estimate how much the vehicle is worth.
The obvious question
Why is it only $9.95?
A PPSR check cost does not need to be high. The search uses official government registers, while the price charged by different providers can vary depending on how they process and present the information.
Nobody touches your order
The search and report process is automated from start to finish. Your details are entered, the search is processed and the report is sent to your email without a call centre or sales team involved.
This keeps our PPSR check pricing straightforward and helps us keep the cost of each report low.
We pay the same search fee
A PPSR search includes a government search fee, which applies to the search itself. We then process the available information and present it in a report that is easier for buyers to understand.
Your $9.95 payment covers the report, available NEVDIS vehicle information and the official PPSR certificate.
It is not a teaser price
$9.95 is the full price for one report. There is no account fee, no trial that turns into a subscription and no extra charge for the official certificate.
If you are looking for a cheap PPSR check or an affordable vehicle history check, you can see exactly what is included before you pay.
The data in a $9.95 report and a $39.95 report comes from the same two places. Compare what arrives, not what it costs.
Good to know
Questions buyers ask us
What is a PPSR check?
The Personal Property Securities Register is the Australian Government register of security interests. A PPSR check can show whether a vehicle has money owing on it, has been written off or is recorded as stolen.
Why is it only $9.95?
Our search and report process is automated, which helps keep the cost down. We pay the relevant government search fee and process the information into a clear report without adding subscription charges or unnecessary extras.
What do I need to run a check?
You need the vehicle’s 17-character VIN and an email address. There is no account to create before ordering a report.
Do I get the official certificate?
Yes. Every report includes the genuine PPSR certificate issued under the PPS Act 2009 as a PDF. The certificate provides the official record of the PPSR search.
How fast is it?
Reports are generated after the search is completed and usually arrive in your inbox within a few minutes of payment.
What if the search cannot be completed?
You are refunded automatically and in full if the search cannot be completed. You do not need to submit a separate refund request.
Check the car before you commit
Two minutes and $9.95 can give you useful information to review before spending thousands on a used car.
